Mathura is a decent Indian vegetarian restaurant that has been…

Had a nasty experience today. The new management has a policy against people sharing food. I have been going there for a long time and have never heard of a minimum table tab or anti-sharing policy. I understand if the rules are new, but then they must be displayed in public, on the menu or conveyed to customers before taking the order. The Manager was rude in responding to my query and stated bluntly that he didn't care if we left. Disappointed that such an establishment of repute is run by Management that not only breaches customer information rights, but also treats them with disrespect.

We went here on Sunday and loved it! Ordered a mutton biriyani (now Rs, 640/=) and a rasam (130/= sufficient for 2) and a chicken pakoda (Rs. 350/= i think and sufficient for around 4 people to snack on) The service was excellent - the wait staff were very friendly and the food was great! Will definitely go here more often :)
Agreed. Very different from the sawan/Buhari/Big Bite biryani's and far better. You can even eat the rice alone!
If preceded with a starter, the biriyani can actually feed two - I would struggle to finish one by myself.
Tried calling for delivery and they refused to deliver if my order was less than Rs 3500/=
now that is a Joke… you can charge delivery but to refuse delivery with a minimum order qtty like that is ridiculous
Dear friends come taste our restaurant SIZZLE u will get totally amazing different opportunity.
Guys this briyani is massive but very soggy - therefore its not quite what it should be…we went on yumus recommendation especially and quite let down - will try again though just to see if it was a one off since HSBC also gives a promo these days!
Sizzle - as there is no review on Yamu for this - looks great so many things on the menu that its hard to pick anything - got a drink and a salad as a takeaway in the end it took 25 mins and both items were subpar - salad was pure mayonnaise and the drink was pure sugar…good job sizzle and nice try hijacking a post as well
Me and my friend ordered chicken biryani to-go and it was a definite let down. The two small pieces of curry chicken (a leg and some other part) is not the way to do biryani although the gravy and raita that come in two separate containers were pretty good. The volume of rice was also quite good but there is simply not enough chicken to accompany rice. I would rate bbq (and curry chicken) biryani offered by Big Bite (Rs. 450/-) over amaravathi's chicken biryani (Rs. 540/-) based on the volume and quality of chicken.
We know who is yamu and shuti. They came to our restaurant also asking money and food to write reveiw in
web. Whatever the restaurant pay yamu write a good reveiw. Otherwise
they writes bad. If they are genuine why put false phone nos.
I would not recommend Amarawathi. The food was ok, but portions were tiny (meat dishes came with 4-5 small pieces of meat swimming in sauce), and the service was poor. It took almost 45 minutes from the time we finished ordering until they brought any food (even bread and appetizers) and the table for two next to us had to wait even longer because they didn’t get up and ask the waiter to please bring anything that was ready whenever it was ready. We had to run after them to ask for bill. We figured out why the service is so bad.
Pathetic service, but great food. By the time the waiters bring the food from kitchen, the food is cold. Real rip off and not worth it
Vegetable Thali + Masala tea came to 880 with tax. Tasteless rubbish. Again a ripoff. Daylight robbery.
Do NOT go here. You WILL get ripped off. Plus, service and ambiance is also horrible.
