Tastea is a tiny new coffee shop down Duplication Road. They've renewed their menu so we went to check it out.

Tucked in between a whole bunch of buildings, jewelry stores, and offices lies a tiny new cafe called Tastea. Our First Look was a pleasant surprise, and after a month later, here we're - back with a fully exclusive review!

Time has changed many things, including the food menu at Tastea. The last time we visited Tastea, all they had was waffles and a sandwich. But now they have the options of wraps, spaghetti, sandwiches, waffles and even dumplings. Sweet!

We started with the Chicken Spaghetti (Rs. 350). With generous amounts of minced chicken and sauce, it's a steal for what you're paying for. The spaghetti was cooked al dente, the chicken was flavourful and it was a massive potion that you can easily fill up on. There was a tinge of sweetness which comes from the sauce but to be honest, we loved it. If you do go to Tastea, get it.

Next, we tried the Chicken Wrap (Rs. 250). Sadly, the spaghetti topping and the filling in the wrap tasted pretty similar. Nevertheless, the wrap was served warm and had a nice crunch to bite.

With a beautiful crunchy exterior and a burnt underbelly, this plateful of Dumplings (Rs. 300 for S) made us so happy. Particularly because you don't find dumplings in cafes so it was a breath of fresh air from all the bread based items we usually find. Delicately filled with a mixure of chicken and herbs, it was so delicious. We loved it.

From what we gathered during our First Look, Tastea's range of coffee is pretty good. But this time, we tried out a couple of other drinks off their menu.

If you didn't know this already, Cheese Tea is the new bubble tea. It hasn't blown up here yet, it has blown up in China and we can understand why.

Their Flower Garden Cheese Tea (Rs. 370) didn't have a distinct 'flower' taste, but it was very milky, and had this mellow texture along with a teeny tiny sweetness running through.

This Orange/ yellow drink is the Summer Fruit Sparkling (Rs.220), which is a concoction made up of Sprite and various fruits. Flavorwise, it's more like a jazzed up fruit salad and if you have a sweet tooth, this should work fine for you.

Ambience & Service

In terms of the ambience, there's nothing much we can say that we didn't say before. There's a nice chilled out vibe going on here.

I actually LOVE coming here, and it's not just for the food. The cafe is manned by two extremely friendly Chinese ladies who make your experience here so so much better! They might not be completely fluent in English, but they're always ready to help.

The food started arriving 5 minutes after ordering so there was always something to munch on till the other dishes arrive.

Go there. The food is clean and quite good, they're as affordable as it gets. We recommend!

Try the Earl Grey Cheese Tea.
