Toppgun Burgers does chicken and beef burgers, and a few side dishes, like French fries, loaded with cheese and meats.
For just Rs. 675, the Hurricane had a lot to offer. Four fried chicken strips, two slices of cheddar, lettuce, tomato, chopped up cabbage, onions, kochchi miris, and Toppgun secret aioli - all these were sandwiched in between not one, but two toasted buns.
I love spicy burgers, so this is really my kinda burger. Unfortuantely, I couldn't enjoy it as I'd have liked, as the high sauce content made it incredibly messy, and tended to drown out its flavour.
The fried chicken strips were wonderfully crispy, and the addition of spiced up onions was a very nice touch. Every bite was packed with heat, all thanks to the kochchi miris, and spicy sauces. Easing up the latter should definitely fix many things for this burger.
The Flying Zone (Rs. 1000) followed suit. It was overflowing with sauce, to the point that you cannot quite make use of the bottom half of the bun.
Comprised of two fried chicken strips, one beef patty, beef bacon, mozzarella cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, Toppgun secret aioli and BBQ sauce, it was a meaty, mouthful burger, but sadly, a messy one too. The beef patty itself was a tad crumbly, but tasted quite beefy and delicious. Sadly though, you hardly get its taste, as the flavour of the sauces is overpowering.
The Watermelon Mojito (Rs. 350) was made with syrup and tasted way too sweet and synthetic for our liking.
It's a very tiny space. Even fitting two diners at a time is a hassle. Therefore, we highly suggest you opt for delivery or takeout.
The staff was welcoming and helpful. We got our food within around 15 minutes.
Toppgun Burgers surely seem to know the art of mixing and matching the flavour elements in a burger, and we're impressed. However, they really should put some thought into the quantities and the assembling part to improve its overall look, feel and quality.
